Telecommunications Master Plans

Developing a Telecommunications Master Plan allows municipalities to have control over where wireless carriers place their towers and antennas, provide needed services, and create a more reliable E911 system. Municipalities can utilize properties they own or other locations. This process allows them to decrease the number of towers needed to serve their community.

Additionally, significant rental income for the municipality can be generated when the antennas are placed on its property. This is also an opportunity to place public safety antennas to meet all of the municipality’s wireless needs.

V‑COMM will design a capacity plan to handle daily communications system demands and manage network scalability requirements for future services, ensuring efficient spectrum sharing, interoperability, dispatch center and system resource management.
